Certainly, with most Engineering Plastics, while turning on a lathe, you can go extremely quickly with your feeds and speeds. Examples of some the materials are, Acetal, Nylon, PTFE, ABS, PVC and so on. Most noteworthy, in most but not all cases, the chips stay together, forming a ribbon and are easily removed from the Machine. Also, your tools will not dull or wear (practically not at all). Standard high-speed steel will be ample for turning every day Engineering Plastic. Whereas Insulation industrial Plastic require far more specialist care and techniques.

Similarly, for milling most Plastic, the above can be applied. Hence, the Engineering Plastic milled, are again, fast speeds and feeds, with some exceptions and individual preferences. Moreover, when milling Plastic, it can be less problematic than turning. Mainly due, to the lack of a ribbon, continuous swarf, being generated. Also, as with turning, no coolants are required. Indeed, the use of coolants can be detrimental to many insulation materials.

Available in Copolymer and Homopolymer grades. A dimensionally stable Material with good electrical properties and abrasion resistance. A range of polyofins Engineering Plastic also referred to as PE300, PE500 and PE1000. Used in various applications from pipe fittings, wear strips to conveyor systems in food processing environments.
